Always wanted to see what would happen if Wei Wuxian and Xue Yang had gotten along? Or want to lean into that delicious enemies to lovers vibe? This is your chance to indulge your curiosity by writing fic or creating art!
We’ve made some prompt lists for this pairing, and will release them in July. Let these prompts inspire you, and create as many WWX / XY works as you like. Post them by the end of July. That’s it! It’s as simple as that.
And! If you have a prompt idea that you know you’ll never write or make art for, we’re also collecting them. Maybe someone will create it for you ;)

When do prompts drop?

After prompts drop, please post your works between 15-31 July, 2021!
Do the prompts have to be followed exactly?
Prompts do not have to be followed exactly. Take what you like and run with it!
Is there a minimum word count?
Nope! Write however much you desire.

Where do I post when I am finished?
We have an AO3 collection, and we welcome both fic and art to be posted to it! Or you can share your art to Twitter and tag #DemonicDuo2021 so we can retweet it from @demonicduofest! Fic writers are welcome to use the tag too, so we can share!
Are there any content restrictions?
There are no content restrictions! Write whatever you please, so long as the main pairing is Wei Wuxian/Xue Yang. However, please be sure to tag your content appropriately to include all warnings necessary.
Can I write a fic with a third or fourth character added into the pairing?
This is an event specifically for the pairing Wei Wuxian/Xue Yang. While we love and support the idea of any additions to this pairing, please keep your submissions to this event Wei Wuxian/Xue Yang-centric. Side pairings and off-screen pairings are acceptable, but should not be the focus of the work.
I want to participate, but I don't write or draw. Is there a way to join the fun?
